About Rabia Basri
Rabia Basri Foundation (RBF) is a global education initiative dedicated to advancing inclusive learning systems where every child can thrive. Founded in 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, our team of experienced educators began by addressing urgent gaps in support for children with learning differences. As schools worldwide struggled to adapt, it became clear that inclusive education was not a local issue — it was a global necessity. Today, we partner with schools and communities to transform education systems into inclusive environments that value neurodiversity, equity, and empathy.

RBF currently operates in Pakistan and Kazakhstan, with plans to expand to Malaysia. Our volunteer team spans the USA, Pakistan, Nepal, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, and the UK. We are building a global movement for inclusive education — and we are just getting started.

At RBF, we believe that children with learning differences are here for a reason. They are special gifts who, in a supportive environment, can prosper and shine. We believe that building inclusive schools creates inclusive and equitable societies. Education systems must evolve to support diverse minds, not exclude them. When we recognize the uniqueness in each of us — the diversity of minds, identity, and backgrounds — we build stronger communities.​​
Our Logo: The Butterfly
Modelled after the butterfly and its metamorphic cycle, our logo symbolises growth and transformation – essential for our mission to foster inclusive educational communities. The design consists of four components, each reflecting the different values of our foundation. All aspects blend together under the umbrella of inclusion.
Antenna
The shape is unenclosed, facing outwards. This represents
open-mindedness and receptivity
to both people and ideas.
Right wing
Uniqueness; valuing the individuality of every child. It is the only shape with a loop, which invokes a sense of playfulness.
Left wing
Innovation and creativity. It is inspired by both the shapes of a brain and a thought bubble.
Bottom wing
Empathy and compassion lay the foundation of equity. The classic heart shape reflects this, as connection comes from the heart.
